Usage Note

Bodenerosion is feminine (die Bodenerosion). The removal of topsoil by wind or water; a significant agricultural and environmental problem in Germany, particularly on slopes of arable land. Erosionsschutz measures include leaving grass strips (Grünstreifen) along field edges.
