Usage Note

Unteroffizier (abbreviated Uffz) is a rank in the Bundeswehr corresponding to corporal level and the starting grade of the NCO corps (Unteroffizierskorps). It is distinct from Offizier (commissioned officer) and Mannschaft (enlisted).
