Usage Note
Taeter is the perpetrator of a deed, from Tat (act, crime). A female offender is a Taeterin. An accomplice is a Mittaeter, and a repeat offender a Wiederholungstaeter. The plural is unchanged: die Taeter. The crime itself is the Straftat.
