Usage Note

Spitzboden is the triangular loft space directly under a pointed roof (Spitzdach), too low to stand in and used only for storage. It differs from a Dachgeschoss (full attic floor) in that it is not habitable. Typically accessed via a hatch (Luke) from the top storey.
