Usage Note
Pfeffer is one of the two most essential spices in German cooking alongside Salz. Black pepper (schwarzer Pfeffer), white pepper (weißer Pfeffer), and green pepper (grüner Pfeffer) are all used. Freshly ground is always preferred for flavour.
