Usage Note

Maklergebühr (also Maklerprovision) is the commission paid to an estate agent for arranging a rental or sale. Since the 2015 Bestellerprinzip, the party who commissions the agent for a rental (usually the landlord) must pay the fee, relieving tenants of this cost.
