Usage Note
Enthaltung describes the act of abstaining from a vote in a parliamentary or committee setting. The plural Enthaltungen appears in voting results: 5 Ja-Stimmen, 3 Nein-Stimmen, 2 Enthaltungen. Distinct from Stimmenthaltung which is a more formal synonym.
