Manierlich describes well-mannered, properly behaved conduct — especially at the table or in social situations. Sich manierlich benehmen — to behave properly, with good manners. It is used approvingly (good conduct) but can be ironic (er hat sich kaum manierlich benommen — he barely behaved himself).
