Usage Note
abschrubben is an informal separable verb meaning to scrub something off vigorously — skin, a stain, or dirt. In personal care it describes intense scrubbing of the body in the shower or bath. More emphatic than schrubben because of the ab- prefix.
Examples
"Er schrubbt sich nach der Gartenarbeit den Schmutz kräftig ab."
