Usage Note

Waldhimbeere (Rubus idaeus) is the wild form of the raspberry, growing along forest edges, clearings and roadsides. Smaller and more intensely flavoured than cultivated varieties, it is a classic summer treat when hiking in German forests. Himbeere alone can refer to either wild or cultivated raspberries.
