Usage Note
Vanille is a key baking flavouring in Germany. Vanilleschote (vanilla pod), Vanilleextrakt (extract), and Vanillezucker (vanilla sugar — ubiquitous in German baking packets) are the three standard forms; the synthetic Vanillin is also widely used.
