Usage Note

Sozialabgaben are mandatory contributions deducted from wages for Kranken-, Pflege-, Renten- and Arbeitslosenversicherung. They are split roughly equally between employer and employee. Lohnnebenkosten (non-wage labour costs) includes Sozialabgaben.
