Usage Note

Paniermehl is finely ground, dried breadcrumbs used to coat meat, fish, or vegetables before frying. Unlike fresh breadcrumbs, it is shelf-stable. It is the final layer in the classic panieren sequence (flour → egg → Paniermehl).
