Usage Note

Laufzeitanleihe is a bond with a defined maturity date on which the principal is repaid. It differs from perpetuals or callable bonds. German federal bonds (Bundesanleihen) are issued as Laufzeitanleihen with maturities typically of two, five, ten, or thirty years.
