Gläubiger is the creditor, the party owed money, and the counterpart of the Schuldner (debtor). The plural is Gläubiger, unchanged; feminine Gläubigerin. Beware the homograph Gläubiger used as an adjective form of gläubig (devout), which is unrelated in meaning.
