Usage Note

Fraktion denotes the bloc of deputies from one party within a parliament. It is feminine. A Fraktion has formal rights such as speaking time and committee seats; falling below a minimum size makes a group merely a Gruppe. The leader is the Fraktionsvorsitzende.
