Usage Note
Angeklagte is the accused person in a criminal trial, once an Anklage has been formally admitted. As an adjectival noun it inflects: der Angeklagte, ein Angeklagter. Before formal charges the person is a Beschuldigter, and during trial the Angeklagte.
